Because my mind tends to think in storyline fashion, it didn’t take long for me to realize that I’d be photographing this project in that same way in order for it to make sense. So, just like in our homes we tend to group things together, it seemed the same should apply here.
This first group comes from my neighbor Tom and George Vettel’s place. Their barn is somewhat of a landmark out here in Cummings and the fact that the farm is always fastidiously cared for always seems to add to it’s beauty. I’d stopped to ask Tom and Goege if they’d mind if I took some images of the farm for this project. They quickly agreed and then explained that the barn would be coming down one day soon! Sooooo very sad. So – I had to be sure to capture all the sublte nuances. The four here represent some of my favorites – but there are still more to go.
The main image – George & Tom’s Place – was printed as a 20×24 and hangs over the main entry reception area. The other three hang together on a wall across from the main image with the Cuppulo and Pitchfork as 11×14 and the center Day’s End as a 16×20.
